Welcome to The PC Gaming Weekspot, Rock Paper Shotgun’s weekly recap on the last seven days in PC video games.
In Headlines and Hot Takes, we discuss the Mass Effect 4 (?) announcement from BioWare, EA saying that Battlefield is coming back next year, and we discuss what the launches of the PS5 and Xbox Series X could mean for PC.
In Show And Tell, Matthew going in on his time with one of 2020’s most anticipated viking simulators, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Castle has been a busy boy this week, as he’s also been playing Colm’s most anticipated game of 2020, Yakuza: Like A Dragon. Thankfully – because he’d burst, otherwise – Colm’s also been playing it, so the two compare notes on the JRPG. And, to top it all off, Colm’s been feeding Bugsnax to strangers in the weird and wonderful new game from developer Young Horses.
As well as that, we’ve got a controversial Mystery Steam Reviews for you, as MSR centres on games set in the United Kingdom. And we open The Weekspot mailbag in Burning Questions.
Our little show began life as a weekly YouTube livestream, so some things may be lost in the audio version of this The PC Gaming Weekspot episode, but we hope you still enjoy it!
